This is our story! The days are long but the years are truly short. I want to remember these precious days with my children and husband and this blog will help me do that.

A blender with the lid off.
Jerry Seinfield and his wife Jessica have three children together. I have one of her cookbooks. In it Jerry is quoted as saying " A two year old is like a blender with the lid off." Boy is that true. I actually took a nap today when Tanner did. I was SO tired. I don't generally nap but today I said I am just going to lay down for a minute and I was out. Being pregnant and having a two year old is very exhausting. I am now enjoying a few blissful moments of silence and headed off to bed. I do have lots of energy but with little ones you are always moving and I mean always moving. I love being a mama. I am excited about our 2nd boy on the way. I just am trying to live in the moment and turn over my fears to God about being a stay at home mom to two boys just three years apart. I know the day to day will be hard. I am excited. I have tons of support and thankful for that. Tanner is a doll these days but oh so busy. We took him to Disney on Sunday and we all had a blast. His favorite was the Pirates. He got his first Mickey ears and of course they were pirate ears. I am so thankful for things to do. Disney, the ymca, playdates, lake trips, going to Lakeland, MOPS, dollar movies, library, and outings. I am not one to sit around. Even having the swingset, sandbox, and yard are vital to raising boys. If you have a boy I highly recommend reading "Boys adrift" Dr. Modders recommended it and I am learning a lot. Boys need to feel and touch and experience. They have to get their hands dirty so to speak. With all the technology and video games and ipads ect outside time is even more crucial. We had a great time Sunday. Yes it was hot but we enjoyed time as a family. I look forward to our family beach trip soon. I have been working with Tanner in the pool and he is really starting to swim now. What a high energy, fun, smart little boy. Grateful I get to be his mommy!

Gratitude
I am posting today simply about gratitude. I was driving home Monday after a meeting I went to and listening to the message on sirius radio and just became overwhelmed with gratitude. All you who read my blog know I am in recovery and have been clean for awhile now. 8 years on Monday to be exact. I was a complete mess. I know the Bible tells us we ALL fall short and boy do I still. God has given me a life beyond what I deserve. Sometimes in the day to day it is easy to forget. I thought I would remind myself today. :)
1)I am so grateful to be in Recovery and have 8 years clean. I would have never imagined 11 years ago while sitting in prison I would be living in Ocala married with kids. God had such a better plan for me than I did.
2) I am grateful for a little boy Tanner Heath who tells me stuff all day long but my favorite is "I love you Mommy" I love how much he is talking now and this age is super fun!
3) I am so grateful for my husband who does all the grocery shopping. I make a list and plan the menus and he goes and gets it all. LOVE!!!! It is awesome not having to go.
4) Grateful for phone calls and text messages. From my mom, sister, mom-in-law, friends, sisters in recovery, hubby, aunts, and any and all of them. It feels so nice when you receive that unexpected message during the day or voice on the other end. Pleasing to the soul.
5) I am grateful I still have energy to work out and run several times a week. I could not work out with my first pregnancy and I was very miserable. I know Holden and I both feel better afterwards.
6) I am grateful for MOPS! I love how it encourages me as a mommy and all the special ladies I have met in there. I look forward to returning in just a few weeks.
7) I am so so grateful to be 5 months pregnant and well into my 2nd trimester. First trimester was awful. This is our last pregnancy so good news I never have to go through that again.
8) I am grateful for all the little movements I feel of this little one moving around.
He sure is a little active one and his mommy loves it.
9) Grateful we have named him and it totally fits. His name is Holden Russell. I love it!
10) Grateful I am still growing spiritually today and God teaches me so much through the people he puts in my life. Today I embrace life and have HOPE for my family and I. I so can not wait to see what the future holds for Billy, Mendy, Tanner, and Holden.
11)Grateful for my son still taking naps!! Praise God I still get quiet time in the afternoon. (FOR NOW) :)
12) Grateful for baby wise. Yep totally going to use it again with Holden. Tanner started sleeping through the night at 3 months. I know, I know, its not guaranteed but I sure am going to give it my best mommy effort.
13) Grateful for my huge crock pot my hubby bought me which I am smelling our dinner right now as I type. Easy dinner for tonight and tommorrow. Planning a healthy menu, thinking of new ideas, and staying in budget takes some creative work. :)
14) Yes I have to post this one cause it is my FAV!! Grateful for my foot rubs from my wonderful hubby. I sure have energy but boy it flat out catches up to you by the end of the day.
These are just a few of the big ones for me right now. I need to do one of these often. Actually when working a program of recovery its often suggested to. I know I have been told to do them a few times. I don't mind. I love looking at in black and white cause it is uplifting for the soul. I am posting a pic of me at 5 months pregnant with Holden. 5 down and only 4 to go!!

Seth and Jamie have a baby on the way!
Tanner and I went to Lakeland this weekend and had a blast. We spent the day Friday with Tristan and my mom and took her to lunch for her birthday. My cousin is here from Chicago and my Aunt B. had everyone over for pizza at her house Friday night. We had a blast. On Saturday was the BIG shower for Jamie. It was awesome. We had so much fun! I laughed so hard sitting with my sis-in-law Lisa, Aunt B., cousin Kerri, and sister Whitney. We laughed until we had tears. The shower was beautiful. They did a great job putting it on and the food was delicious. I am so so excited for my little brother. I am happy he has found a wife and they are expecting a little angel next month!! The decorations at the shower were very pretty and I was thrilled to see how much stuff they got. With our second one on the way I still am amazed how much you really need for one little person. :) Seth has had a few bumps in the road and nothing makes my heart happier to see him make such a great life for himself and his family. I am posting pictures from the shower. We all could not be happier for Jamie and Seth. We can not wait to meet little Lorelei!

Our new baby boy!!
I am excited to announce we are having our second child and he is a boy. He was the sweetest sight on Monday and so very active. I had a great day with my hubby yesterday and all we did was work our butts off cleaning out our shed and garage. We got it done and now I think I am actually excited to be getting the extra space. We will need the room and it will be nice to have our guest room/office still when my family comes to visit. The nursery is all ready for the new baby except getting him his own bedding. The big step in the next two or three months is getting Tanner a big boy bed and dresser. We are excited about the new addition to our family. I am thrilled! We have another ultrasound at Shand's to check for any abnormalites on Tuesday! But I have seen him and can tell you as his mommy I know he is PERFECT! It was cool spending the day with Billy even if it was working ALL DAY!! We make a great team.I forgot how much you can do with out your kid being underfoot. This weekend has been awesome. I was so glad to get some time with my girls and ride over to Palm Coast and hear some amazing speakers. I am so blessed to have Teresa and all the women in my life that I do. Especially these last 8 years. We are very excited to go to our church tonight as there is a huge celebration for Independence Day. Freedom Fest! There will be games, food, and fireworks. I am very excited to take Tanner as he will finally I think really enjoy all the festivities. Billy and Tanner are having a good nap right now and I can not wait to have some family fun. We have a name pretty much in the works but making sure that it is THE ONE before announcing it to everyone. It certainly seems to fit him so far!! :) I am really taking in today's sermon about slowing down and being not always doing!! If I am constantly rushing to the next moment I am so missing out on this one. Lord help us to slow down and cherish this time we have now. Enjoying our family and friends!! Happy 4th everyone!! Be safe!
Psalm 46:10
New International Version (NIV)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
P.S. I do like being the only female in our house. ;)
