Time to catch up

I was inspired a little to write today. I use to hear when I was young the older you get the faster time goes. MAN is that so true. Life has changed a lot for me in the last decade and I suspect it will change alot more in the decade to come. At 39 it means more wrinkles on your face but that might just mean you laugh more. At 39 it's more fun to read a good book or go for a run. (NOT what I thought was so fun at 29) At 39 it means being in a routine and putting your kids to bed and being responsible. At 39 it means caring less what others think and more about what GOD thinks. At 39 it means closing the baby chapter of your life and not even being sad about it. Cause at 29 you weren't even sure if you were going to get to be a mom. At 39 it means putting yourself in other peoples shoes and seeing the big picture. At 39 it means appreciating your parents more and your husbands too knowing what an EXTREMELY tough job parenting is. At 39 it means being able to blog knowing it is a big deal cause time is precious. 39 means more time asking for God's help cause you know you can not do it with out HIM. At 39 it means calling your sister, sister in laws, mom, aunts and mom-in-law often and valuing the conversations. At 39 it means learning being married isn't all about butterflies and rainbows and sometimes you have to say you are sorry. At 39 it means learing to date your spouse. At 39 it means making mistakes but trying not to make the SAME old ones. 39 means planning things way ahead; Like vacations and birthday parties. At 39 it means doing a million little things in a day knowing tomorrow you get to do those same things. :)( Load the dishwasher, bathe your kids, dress your kids, put away laundry, feed the dog, sweep the floor, and on and on and on) :) At 39 it means learning to forgive yourself and others. 39 means being more conservative and more comfortable. (LESS HOOCHY PLEASE) At 39 excitement means seeing your one year old learn to walk. (HE STARTED WALKING FRIDAY) At 39 excitement is going to Bonefish with your hubby while your in-laws watch the kiddos for you. 39 means aging and acceptance. 39 means less about a lot of friends and more about true friends. At 39 it is hoping you have a lot more years left to enjoy all those you love. At 39 it means gratitude and growth. At 39 it means your biggest fans are two little boys who are 4 and 1 and call you mommy. 39 means knowing certain doors of your life have closed forever and looking forward to the open doors ahead. On another note The boys are growing fast and we are enjoying them so much. Tanner is on the letter W at school this week and loves telling me about all he's learning. Holden has started walking and getting more teeth. He is a big boy and loves playing ball and gets into everything. Our year is off to a great start and I'm so thankful!! I look forward to this year and all the years ahead as a family of four.
