A mini vacation

I am so super excited!! We are going to Disney for a few days.  I can not wait to just have some fun with my 2 little boys and my husband. We went last spring too for a couple nights. For no reason except to have fun. No race! No agenda! Just plain fun with my family. We go often and its something I so look forward to with just my family. We are regulars and been going since Tanner was a year old.  It is going to be nice since I have been so busy with the boys. I feel like this week we have been non stop with Easter, sponsorship gathering, Tanners school, and just life in general. I can not wait. It will be so nice to not have to cook or clean. Pool time and splash park. My boys favorite things. I had Easter over here and it was so nice to celebrate the Ressurection of our King by going to church and having Meme, Grampy, and Papa over. We missed Grammy though and the rest of our family!! I cooked and it turned out well. Tanner lately is asking lots of questions about when I was kid. It is so cute. It is such fun conversation too. Like today I was talking about our tree house and sand box that my dad built for us. We loved playing in them. WE always had yummy snacks when we got home from school my mom made sure of that. I loved playing with my cabbage patch doll and I would come home from school and my mom would have all her little clothes folded on my bed so I could play with her. I work so hard at being a good mom too. Just like my mom was. Although I am with my kids a lot I am trying to be a lot of other things too. A wife, a sponsor, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a daughter in law, a sponsee, and most of all CHRIST follower! I am thankful that God is giving me new eyes to see and not take myself so seriously. Yesterday out on my run I was just running and thinking of my children and my husband and all the family and friends God has blessed me with. I so look forward to these days at Disney. Fresh air, getting out of the house, giggles and laughs, (melt downs and cries), and just enjoying the moment. Time really does go so fast. Tanner is 4 and a half now and Holden is 17 months tomorrow.  I can not believe that. We are starting a Bible study tonight and it's going to be nice. Studying God's Word and bonus My best friend and her husband are in their too. :)  Acts 2:21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

No Time.

UGH!! How has over a month and a half gone by and I haven't posted anything. Maybe it has something to do with 2 little boys named Holden and Tanner that keep me very busy. These little boys are growing fast. Tanner is doing wonderful at school and Holden is climbing and walking everywhere. We are starting to enjoy some warmer weather. I took the boys to the pool today and enjoyed seeing our friends Kristy and Van. Tanner will start swim lessons soon again and hoping he really gets compfortable in the water this year. Right now he wont come off the steps at the pool. But he loves the splash park. We went Sunday after we went to church and it was so nice to go to the pool with Billy. We so can not wait to go to the beach this summer and the Lake. I have been getting up early to read my Bible and spend time with God before kids get up. Billy suggested I set my alarm and get up before the boys, so I have been doing that. They get up so early that  its easy to say "I'll just sleep in." But God is blessing that time I am spending with him and HE is giving me so much encouragement as a mother of small children. I need encouragement. We all do.  It's not any one thing that is hard its the thousand tiny things you do all day. So lately I am trying to focus on the moment. Holden is trying to say a few words. He is so sweet with that toothy grin.  He gets so excited when I praise him. One word he has down for sure and that's "Mama". He will call me from across the room. Tanner says "mommy he needs you." (thank you Tanner as I could not hear for myself )   I love when Tanner talks to him and he answers. (By shaking his head or nodding it) SO CUTE! Tanner loves to play with him. WE celebrated Tristan's birthday last weekend and we had a pefect day. It makes me miss my family a lot on days like that.  I would love to live close by so they could pop in for dinner or I could last minute decide to go to the library or movies with my mom and Aunt Brenda. Her and my aunt B go to the library a lot and I would love to go with them. I don't read as much thes days as I would like but I know my children won' be little forever. There will be plenty of time for reading after they are all grown up. I really am learning to let things go a lot better. All things. You can not possibly please all people. So I just seek God today. With parenting you just have to do what's best for you and your family. I am grateful to God.  I celebrated turning 40 a few weeks ago and I am excited and thrilled. If my 40s are anything like my 30s then I can't wait. God has blessed me. I am HIS!!   Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  Phillipians 4:6.
