The 3 B's (Baths, Books, and Bedtime)

I love my kids in their pajamas. Especially right after their baths. All clean and cuddly.  I love the different seasons and holidays because I like to put them in different pajamas for each one. I already bought them Halloween pjs that are ADORABLE and can not wait to dress them in them. YES starting in Sept. :) I have always enjoyed reading to them and Tanner has always loved it too. Holden is starting to enjoy it too. Tonight I read 3 books to him. He's my very active fearless little boy. He will be 21 months old next Tues. He is talking so much and has already climbed out of his crib a couple times. Moving out of the baby phase. Things I love about this stage with my 2 boys is they go to bed at 7 or 7:30 and sleep all night til 6 or 6:30, they can run aound and play together, I caught them having a sweet conversation on the floor yesterday (they did not know I was watching), Holden is talking so much and learning new words daily, and things they say at times are HILARIOUS!  I'm exhausted at night but love these kiddos. Today I was vacumming in Tanner's room and Tanner  ran in from the other room and I had my back to him and hit him in the face with my elbow. I got their little ice star out of the freezer. ( It is for boo boos) and told Tanner to lay on his bed and lay it on his cheek. I stroked his hair and asked if he was ok. Tanner was so sweet about it. Holden climbed up on the bed and said "no mommy, ME." and grabbed my face. He's a mamas boy for sure. I am so happy for Tanner starting pre- K next Monday. He is so excited. We love St. Paul's. I can not believe my big boy is 4 and starting pre-k. He is so sweet and creative these days. While we were playing outside yesterday he built a jungle and made little trees out of sticks and grass and bushes with leaves.  He has always been able to sit and listen to books since birth and watch whole movies as a toddler. He will sit and play by himself with cars and build stuff. Meanwhile along comes Holden and he is ready to jump down the slide head first even before he's a year old. Tanner says " here comes wild child". Heard that from mommy. :) These boys bring me JOY. Billy and I make a great team. Took the boys to lunch yesterday and today. I am staying busy with these boys and soaking up time with them. I DO enjoy my down time at night though. I am a structured girl and do better with order and schedules. I love fall and look forward to September, October, and November and all the fun stuff ahead.
