Drops in the Ocean

Big Daddy Weave has a song called Drops in the Ocean. I feel so fortunate I serve a King who loves me that much. I love the part where he says "If you could count the times I'd say you are forgiven It's more than  the drops in the ocean." I am so thankful for that. I've done a lot of praying today. I even was praying to God at a stop sign this morning. I'm thankful I have a God who I can talk to anywhere and everywhere. And I do.  Holden is 2 and we are in the process of training him and teaching him in a lot of areas. I love this kid. I am so thankful I get to be his mommy. It's exhausting, joyful, and overwhelming. He is so cute saying his scripture verse from school and I love how smart and witty he is. I never thought I would have 1 kid much less 2. I'm so thankful God chose me to be these 2 boys mamas. I helped out with his Halloween party at school yesterday and we are  excited to take the boys trick or treating Saturday. The whole family is dressing up and it will be awesome. The boys are Luke Sky walker and Darth Vader. Billy and I are Obi One and Princess Leia.  My dad will come and I'll make Chili. Holden is a rough and tough boy. He is sweet too. We baked cookies tonight and he tried me a few times a long the way. I love my husband who helps me not take things so seriously and lets me know I am doing a great job. Tanner is so cute and really excelling in Kindergarten. I love going to the school and having lunch with him. He is such a sweet boy and always looking out for me. He made an A on his Science project on sorting. These boys are gifts. I am a parent. I will fall short.  I hang onto the words "Drops in the Ocean." I love Holden and Tanner deeply. I serve a King who loves them even more than that. I am excited for the weekend and look forward to starting it off at Holden's school with the parade and sing and trick or treating.

Mickeys-Not-So-Scary and other October fun.

This past weekend we had a blast. Billy and I and the kids met up with my sister and Tristan for some Disney fun. The boys are really into Star Wars these days and their daddy loves introducing them to the movies and characters. Tanner was Darth Vader and Holden Luke Skywalker. Tristan was an awesome transformer. They had so much fun trick or treating through the park and we rode all kinds of rides. The weather was nice and it was not crowded. The boys all did fantastic and we stayed  until 12. My sister lives 20 minutes from Disney and we stayed at her house which was SO nice. Billy was so awesome and even got to ride the Mine Train with Tanner while Whitney, Tristan, Holden and I did Mickeys Philar Magic show. Saturday was awesome too as we went to my nephews football game. Alson sure is growing fast. His little team played with all heart and I am proud of him. He turned 9 a couple weeks ago. It seems like just a short time ago Lisa was going to the hospital to have him. It is SO true what they say. TIME FLIES!! We also got to enjoy a wonderful lunch with my mom and Lorelei. I sure love my mama. She calls me often and writes all the time but I am super happy when I get time with her. The kids enjoyed lunch too. WE all went to an Italian place and the boys had pizza. Billy, my mom, sister, and I got espresso and just really enjoyed a nice Saturday afternoon family meal together. If you are a parent you know the struggles and the joys of parenthood. I am excited that the boys will be turning 3 and 6 next month. I so enjoy planning their parties each year. Tanner is doing fantastic in Kindergarten and Holden and I sure are having some fun fall days. Like this morning we went to Tuscawilla park with friends and we fed the ducks and played on the playground. We saw a turtle and couple trains too. A perfect morning for my very active and outgoing Holden. He has a very full and curious personality. He loves doing things for himself which can be awesome and also a real challenge for me. My boys are a lot of fun and they sure do love their Mama all while making me crazy at times. But I wouldn't change it for the world. Look forward to all, the years ahead with my Brood.
