I haven't posted in several weeks. I keep meaning to and then get so busy I forget. I was having issues with my computer but it wasn't anything major and Billy got it up and running for me. So I can catch up now. I'm sad tonight. My grandmother passed away. She was 95. She was always special to me. She always believed in me. I always remember the times we shared. She taught me how to cross stitch when I was little. I've made several things that were for her or my mom. I loved going over to her house for Holidays and eating and celebrating with family. You never know as a kid how much work it is to have a big meal like that until you start doing them your self. I just made Easter dinner for my family. My sweet nephews came up with my dad, my in laws came and of course me and Billy and our kids. It is a lot of work but I was so happy to do it. Billy loves my cooking. I love to cook for my 3 boys. My Grannie Elsie was an amazing cook. She made the best mac and cheese, the best skillet corn bread, and the best home made ice cream just to name a few. She was special and I'll miss her. She bred cows and lived out in the country. She loved me. I was so blessed to be her granddaughter. Time does go quickly. Too quickly. Some things that I will hold onto is how much she loved the Lord. How much she forgave. How she cared more about what was on the inside and less about what was on the outside. She was a great example to me. I love my family. I hope I am a wonderful mommy. I hope I get the opportunity to see my kids have kids. I love being with them. 2 and 5 and I have such a closeness with both of my children. I love reading books with Tanner and talking to him about the things he is learning at school. I'll never forget how tight he held my hand taking him for his testing at Madison street. The way he looks at me and tells me he likes when I wear my hair down. He is such a sweet tenderhearted boy. Days that I am a mess and I tell him that I messed up and I'm not perfect he will say "you're the perfect mommy." Holden loves to mow the yard with me. We did that today. He loves for me to rock him at night and make up songs. I absolutely adore his 2 year old voice!! As I go to bed tonight I thank My Saviour in Heaven that I was blessed with such an amazing Grannie Elsie and I thank Him that I am a mommy to 2 very sweet and special boys. Here is my Grannie Elsie holding my son Tanner when he was just a newborn.
